These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place with us. Placing an order means you accept them.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we email you a confirmation. We may decline an order — for example if a piece is no longer available or a price was listed in error — and if we do, we refund you in full.

Prices

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include applicable taxes where stated. Shipping is added at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but never after your order is confirmed.

Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.

Made-to-order pieces

Where a piece is made to order, we begin work once payment clears. These pieces can still be returned under our returns policy unless they carry personalisation.

Personalisation

Initials and custom stamping cannot be undone, so personalised pieces are not returnable unless faulty.

Natural variation

Leather is a natural material. Grain, shade and marking vary between hides and between pieces. Photographs are representative, not exact. Variation is not a fault.

Our guarantee

Every seam is guaranteed for the life of the piece. This covers stitching and construction. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or the normal darkening and softening of leather over time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.

Intellectual property

The CORDEL name, wordmark, photography and site content belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are registered, and disputes are subject to its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

CORDEL began at a single bench with a single problem: every watch roll on the market closed with a zip, and every zip eventually scratched a case.

So we tied ours shut instead. A four-strand cord, braided from the same hide as the roll, long enough to wrap twice and knot. Nothing metal, nothing to fail, nothing to mark a bezel.

One hide, start to finish

We buy full hides rather than pre-cut panels. It costs more and wastes more, but it means the grain runs continuous from end to end, and a roll ages as one piece rather than a patchwork.

Guaranteed for life

Every seam we sew is guaranteed for as long as you own the piece. Send us a photo of a failure and we will repair or replace it.

Everything is made and packed in our own workshop. Here is exactly what to expect.

Dispatch times

In-stock pieces leave the bench within 1–2 business days. If something is made to order, the product page says so and gives the current lead time.

Duties and taxes

International orders may attract import duties on arrival. These are set by your country, not by us, and are the recipient’s responsibility.

Returns

Thirty days from delivery, unused and in original condition, for a full refund. Write to us and we will send a return label.

Exchanges

Wrong size or shade? Tell us what you would rather have and we will swap it. If there is a price difference we will settle it either way.

Repairs

Every seam is guaranteed for life. Stitching that fails is repaired or replaced at our cost, however old the piece is. Wear, patina and darkening are not faults — they are the point.

Lost parcels

If tracking stops moving for more than five business days, contact us and we will chase the carrier or remake the order.
